Twist and Shout is an annual convention that always takes Louisville by storm. It’s an event that’s full of magic, talented balloon artists and many, many balloons.
This year was the first time Gemar had sponsored the event and it was certainly an unforgettable experience. From the balloon decorator Marie Dadow’s stunningly beautiful and delicate Gemar balloon dress, worn for the opening ceremony, to the popular workshops held by our Gemar Ambassador Yulys and by Marie Dadow, every moment was filled with joy and every audience was captivated.
The real sensation, though, was the Jam Room. The Gemar team used over 5.000 balloons to create an illuminated display that took everyone’s breath away. It was the perfect backdrop to a party that never stopped, and of course everyone had the opportunity to experience the wonderful colours of our special Gemar balloons.
We really did have an amazing few days. We loved meeting hundreds of fellow balloon artists and sharing our passion for balloon art. It’s an amazing feeling to be surrounded by so many like minded people, all having fun, learning and celebrating the sheer joy of creativity. The standard of the competition entries was simply amazing, there are some very skilled and talented “twisters” out there!
