If you are heading somewhere new it’s always good to go with a friend, and that’s exactly what we did when we went to Birmingham for the Spring Fair in early February 2020.
Gemar teamed up with fellow balloon company Grabo to share a stand at the fair. As Gloria said “We are two Italian companies and we are both well-established, family businesses. We both make balloons, but we make latex and Grabo makes foil, so it’s a wonderfully complementary combination.”
Our stand certainly reflected that, with foil and latex balloons together in a beautiful display that showcased the best both companies have to offer. Our Ambassadors Cristian and Roberta had made the trip to England as well and were on hand to entertain and educate at their Showtime demonstrations, sharing the fun and creativity of balloon art as they introduced the UK audience to our latest collection.
One of our aims in attending the Spring Fair was to meet possible new partners, to expand the Gemar family and make our balloons available in the UK. We have had a lot of interest from this market and we hope to announce a new partner later in the year. For now, we are just pleased to have made many new friends. The Gemar and Grabo team brought a little Italian sunshine to brighten the grey English winter and saw it reflected in the smiles of the visitors to our stand, we always love lifting the moment and spreading joy!
