On 25 November, 40 budding balloon artists gathered in the Chile Hotel Nogales in Santiagio for “Organic Congress”, an exciting two day event held by our Ambassadors Yulys and Lia.
This was our first organic balloon congress in Chile and everyone who attended was full of anticipation and excitement about the day ahead. With 8000 Gemar Balloons in the room, a party atmosphere was guaranteed and the fun and laughter certainly never stopped!
The Congress was much more than just a party though, there were two full days packed with useful content and hands on learning. Participants created structures using G-link balloons and also practiced their skills with twisty and organic techniques. These very practical skills were put to good use in the creation of a beautiful balloon wall, starbursts and garlands. All in sophisticated black, white, gold and silver which will be perfect for the festive season ahead.
Our Ambassadors are passionate about balloon sculpture, creating innovative and inspiring displays as well as sharing these skills with others. This was the perfect opportunity for Yulys and Lia to inspire and educate other balloon artists, if the participants weren’t balloon artists before then they certainly are now!
After the success of this first Congress we are already looking forward and hoping to plan more in 2020, we have so many more ideas to share!
